Gloria Gift Nankunda as her name goes, was born with a musical gift. Mentored by a doting grandmother, music became her strength, transcending with her on life’s journey. Her soulful voice has delivered an 8 track debut album, ‘Nankunda’ released September 2019. A delightful euphony of tales and melodies derived from her rich Ankole heritage in Uganda meshed with her life experiences.

Le maître du tambour Amadou Kienou est originaire de Ouagadougou, au Burkina Faso, en Afrique de l’Ouest, qui faisait autrefois partie du vaste ancien empire mandingue. Descendant du peuple Dafin, Amadou a été initié en tant que djeli ou griot (historien oral), membre d’une longue lignée de griots dont le rôle est de préserver et de transmettre l’histoire, laculture et les valeurs de leur peuple. De nos jours, apportant letraditionnel au contemporain, Amadou ravit le public international avec son expression polyrythmique unique d’émotions et de souvenirs.

With his “Africa belongs to you” hit, Jacques Yamdjie “Jah Yams”, a native from Cameroon who migrated to Canada more than two decades ago is a Guitarist, drummer, Singer and composer. With his strong and inviting voice, Jah Yams calls all who will listen to his words that this place, the world could be a better place if we love each other, walk in the paths of the wisdom of our ancestors. All his songs such as Dolores, les deux solitudes and more reflect what is in his heart: true love, respect each other, freedom, and solidarity. Jah Yams has been able to mix reggae, soul, rumba, makossa in such an original way that one wonders and loves to hear more of his easy-listening music. All his contents are originals, inspired by his traditional Bamileke-Bana culture with its proverbs, sayings, folk culture.

Lumembo Tshiswaka est un Afro-Canadien, amoureux de tout ce qui est littérature, art dramatique, théâtre, musique et chanson. Depuis sa tendre enfance, il a souvent été choisi pour réciter les fameuses fables de la Fontaine à l’école primaire. C’est au niveau du secondaire qu’il s’est mis véritablement à jouer dans le théâtre classique des auteurs français tells que Molière, Pagnol etc. Son amour pour la poésie prit essor avec des poèmes sur la vie ancestrale et les contes africains. Depuis une dizaine d’années, Lumembo a écrit des poèmes sur la vie en exil,la recherche du bonheur,les relations humaines mais aussi des pièces de théâtre comme “ J’ai rencontré Dieu, la case des exiles. Lumembo est un aussi Ministre de la Parole de Dieu, marié, père et grand-père et vit à Toronto depuis bientôt 20 ans.
